

Imperfect optimism
What happens when we let go of perfection (and STILL want to make something better)?
It’s fun to watch myself change. I am proud of myself. And of course, I am super optimistic about my future. I’m pretty sure it is going to be okay. Especially if and when it’s not perfect.


Don't let grief mess with your sense of time
Getting stuck in our past keeps us from living in the present. And for me, that stickiness has not only robbed me of my present, but it also stalled out my ability to plan a better, happier version of those anniversaries in the future.


Self-Advocacy: Why is it so hard to ask for what we need?
Asking for what we need --even when it is hard -- models the change we want to see.


Blue Ribbon Vacation
Vacations aren’t supposed to be a competition. There’s no one waiting at home with a prize—no blue ribbon—at the end.
